Projected Budget >>

Due to the Hudson Theatre’s enthusiasm for Invasion!, they have offered some incredible financial perks including a comprehensive free two-week rehearsal period, free load-in of equipment, and free tech days. That leaves the cost of renting the space itself. The Hudson’s appreciation for this project has yielded an affordable, reasonable price. At $2,075 a weekend (one show on Friday, 2 on Saturday, and a Sunday matinee), the production will cost $12,450 for a professional six week run, opening August 17th and closing September 23rd of this year.

After the cost of renting the space, we’ve budgeted an additional $5000 for production costs (including props, costumes, set, materials, construction, and designer fees). Our musicians, a six-person band, will be paid directly from our box office profit, totaling an additional $6750 ($50 per service per band member) in deferred payment - not part of our pre-budget.

Our director has already signed on to the project and will direct for a minimal director fee. We are currently in negotiations. In addition, the original cast is back to perform free of charge.
Ultimately, our budget is composed of two central sections: the theatre rental and the production costs. Our total budget, combining these costs, is $18,330.

Investor Benefits >>

As an Invasion! The Musical investor, you’ll be part of the next big original musical comedy to hit Hollywood. Invasion is only possible with your generous financial contribution, and with your investment, you’re entitled to:

  • Associate Producer Credit
  • Select complimentary tickets
  • A percentage of the Box Office profit based on your original investment
Your investment is worthwhile. If Invasion! enjoys a full audience every single show (24 shows with 99 seats at $25 a ticket), the show will gross $59,400 with a net profit of $41,070. We anticipate full audiences and capacity crowds due to strong word of mouth, our aggressive publicity campaign, and the popularity of the Hudson Theatre.

In this scenario, each investor would clearly make back their entire initial investment. They would also profit from the additional box office net amount after deferred payments are paid.

Although we don’t anticipate smaller crowds, our initial investors will make back their entire investment even if our audience is at half-capacity. In this scenario, the show would gross $30,000 with 50% audience attendance, still providing a net profit of $11,670 before deferred payments. To break even, we only need to fill approximately 31 out of the 99 seats each performance.

Ultimately, your investment in this show will be safe, and perhaps even financially profitable.
